Stage 3 Upgrade
Work started on the Stage 3 upgrade on Monday 12 January 2009
Work started in 2 places on the 12 January 2009:-

Video Ezy along to Golden Steak.

Bus Stop on Pilkington Rd down to the 2 Brothers Butcher Shop
Work then moved along from Westpac Bank to join up with the work coming from the western end of the road.
Right on schedule, during the first week of April, work moved over to the south side of Queens Rd moving from what was Roundabout Cars eastwards. This work included the upgrade and replanting of the median barrier. Trees have been established in the central barrier and there has been planting along the footpath near the Pilkington Road intersection.
The Traffic Management signs were installed on January 6th on the Ellerslie/Panmure Highway, Pilkington Rd, Jellicoe Rd and Lagoon Dr warning people of the impending work.
At all times, the safety of the Contractors was paramount and so during the work there were barriers in place for the workmen.
Businesses were asked to make an extra effort to leave as much parking as possible for customers.
Peter and his team were very approachable and willing to try and reduce the disruption to business .
